Drug Smuggling | Suspected import or export of drugs by any means (e.g. passengers, mail, vessels or in freight). |
Unusual Maritime Behaviour | Suspicious behaviour involving yachts, small craft, commercial boats or small aircraft. May include: · Anyone attempting to land or transfer bulky items to shore in isolated areas in unusual circumstances (e.g. at night or attempting concealment). · Ships/boats signaling to the beach or shore. · The transfer of bulky items between vessels out at sea · Unusual aircraft movements or activity on remote airstrips. |
Organised Crime Activity Across the Border | Information about people or activity related to organised crime groups. Criminal infiltration into the supply chain including import or export companies, shipping and freight industry, ports and airports, airlines, mail centres. |
Child Sexual Exploitation or Extremist Material | Child sexual exploitation material or offending (e.g. downloading material or travelling to offend). Bringing extremist or terrorist material into New Zealand. |
Alcohol and/or Tobacco Smuggling or Fraud | Alcohol and/or tobacco smuggling into New Zealand. Selling alcohol and tobacco illegitimately. |
Company Fraud | Import or export company fraud. |
Cash Smuggling or Money Laundering Across the Border | Cash smuggling. Money laundering by import/export companies (Trade Based Money Laundering). |
Terrorism | Prospective travellers to risk regions. |
